SUPPERS

AN EVENING OF IDEAS

The Supper Club is Arcata's signature gathering format, bringing together a larger audience for an evening of dining, learning, and discussion. Hosted in carefully selected venues and anchored by a distinguished speaker, each event is organized around a subject worthy of serious consideration—whether historical, cultural, scientific, economic, or civic in nature.

Guests begin the evening around a shared table before hearing from a featured scholar, founder, artist, or practitioner. The presentation is followed by moderated discussion and audience engagement, creating opportunities for both learning and dialogue. By placing meaningful ideas within the context of hospitality and fellowship, the Supper Club seeks to recover an older tradition in which meals, conversation, and intellectual life naturally belonged together.

At a time when many public conversations have become fragmented or superficial, the Supper Club offers a setting where ideas may be explored with both seriousness and civility. It is an invitation to think deeply, listen carefully, and participate in a community of inquiry.
