These Terms apply to Arcata Soirées, Suppers, Collegium Courses, and related offerings, whether held in person or online.

The offering is organized by Arcata LLC, doing business as Arcata (“Arcata”).

By purchasing, accepting, or using a registration or enrollment, participants agree to these Terms. If an individual offering lists different refund, access, or participation terms, those specific terms control.

1. Registration & Admission

Registration is complete upon successful payment or Arcata’s authorization of a complimentary place.

Participants must provide accurate information reasonably necessary to administer the event or course. For couple, group, or multi-person purchases, Arcata may request individual attendee information; the purchaser is responsible for providing these Terms to accompanying participants.

Registrations may not be resold or used for commercial promotions or giveaways without Arcata’s permission.

Arcata may decline or cancel registrations that are fraudulent, unauthorized, materially inaccurate, or inconsistent with the stated character or requirements of an offering.

2. Refunds, Transfers & Changes

Unless otherwise stated on the offering page:

Soirées & Suppers. Paid registrations may be cancelled for a refund if Arcata receives a written request at least 7 days before the event. After that point, registrations are nonrefundable.

Collegium Courses. Paid enrollments may be cancelled for a refund if Arcata receives a written request at least 7 days before the first scheduled session. Once a course begins, tuition is nonrefundable and is not prorated for missed sessions or withdrawal.

A participant unable to attend may request to transfer a registration or enrollment to another person before the applicable event or course begins. Transfers are effective only when confirmed by Arcata.

Arcata may reasonably change a speaker, instructor, venue, schedule, session date, course platform, hospitality arrangement, or other program detail. Such changes do not, by themselves, entitle a participant to a refund.

If Arcata cancels an offering and does not reschedule it, Arcata will refund the amount paid for that offering. If an event or course is rescheduled, registrations will ordinarily transfer to the new date or schedule, with reasonable refund accommodations for participants unable to attend.

Arcata is not responsible for travel, lodging, missed work, or other third-party expenses arising from cancellation, rescheduling, or program changes.

3. Participation & Hospitality

Arcata exists to foster substantive conversation, serious learning, and spirited fellowship. Participants are expected to engage fellow guests, students, instructors, speakers, staff, and venue personnel with courtesy and good faith.

Harassment, threats, material disruption, unauthorized solicitation or commercial activity, or disregard of reasonable staff or instructor directions is not permitted. Arcata may refuse admission or remove a participant whose conduct materially compromises the safety, integrity, or orderly operation of an offering. Removal for conduct-related reasons does not entitle the participant to a refund.

Where alcohol is served, it is available only to participants age 21 or older and remains subject to applicable law and the discretion of the licensed venue or provider.

Views expressed by speakers, instructors, participants, sponsors, or other third parties are their own. Participation in or support of an Arcata offering does not imply endorsement of every person, viewpoint, organization, or statement associated with it.

4. Photography, Recording & Course Materials

Arcata and its authorized contractors may photograph, film, or record certain events or courses. By attending, participants consent to the incidental use of their image, likeness, or voice in Arcata’s editorial, archival, promotional, and marketing materials.

Arcata will not use a participant’s identity in a manner that reasonably implies a personal endorsement without permission.

Participants may not record, livestream, reproduce, publish, or distribute presentations, classes, discussions, recordings, or course materials without permission from Arcata or the applicable rights holder.

Participation in an online course does not guarantee that recordings will be made or provided unless the offering expressly says otherwise.

5. Accessibility, Privacy & Communications

Arcata will provide reasonable accommodations as required by applicable law. Requests should be made as early as practicable.

Arcata may use participant information to process payment, administer attendance or enrollment, communicate offering details, provide hospitality or course access, and conduct reasonable Arcata-related follow-up.

Information may be shared with payment processors, venues, course platforms, hospitality providers, and other service providers as reasonably necessary to deliver the offering. Arcata does not sell participant information to advertisers or data brokers.

6. General Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If any provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
