DOUGLAS DYE
An explorer, executive, and entrepreneur, Douglas has built a career spanning business, diplomacy, international development, and media. From Wall Street to Tierra del Fuego, Dar es Salaam to the City of Angels, he has served Fortune 100 companies, the U.S. Foreign Service, and international nonprofit organizations.
After earning his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside, Douglas began his career in the jungles of postwar Nicaragua as a business-development volunteer with the United States Peace Corps. He later earned his M.B.A. from the Thunderbird School of Global Management before joining AIG, where he worked on Wall Street and in the Southern Cone. He went on to assume regional leadership responsibilities with American Express across Latin America and the Caribbean.
His Foreign Service career took him across West Africa, the Middle East, and East Africa, where his work centered on developing people, building capable teams, and leading complex initiatives across cultural and institutional lines. Over the course of his career, Douglas has conducted business in more than twenty-five countries and lived in six across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. He subsequently founded Manalive Media Group and co-founded Arcata, where he serves as CEO.
A tragic optimist and fallible knight-errant, Douglas was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, to which he has now returned. He begins his days with an early-morning workout along the Yellowstone River and ends them contemplating the mysteries of the Rosary.
NATHANIEL LAMANSKY
From small-town Iowa to the mountains of Montana, Nate has followed an eclectic path through the humanities, media, music, martial arts, and wildland fire.
He studied Humanities and Catholic Culture at Franciscan University of Steubenville, graduating with honors. Alongside his studies, he completed a year-long internship with Manalive Media Group, practiced Muay Thai, took part in parliamentary debates, and played fiddle in an Irish folk band. After college, Nate moved west and became a wildland firefighter, gaining field experience as a sawyer and squad lead trainee.
He and his wife now live in the green woods of Montana's Bitterroot Mountains, in a little spot where "a river runs through it." Vastly curious and insatiably active, Nate spends his spare time reading and writing, hiking and lifting, brewing mead, playing violin, and tending to his chickens.
MICHAEL COLLINS
Michael began his career in investment management, executing M&A transactions across several enterprise software verticals. Building on earlier internships and consulting projects with startups, he found himself particularly drawn to founder-led businesses and the challenge of helping ambitious companies grow through sound financial planning and strategic M&A.
Originally from the upper Snoqualmie Valley in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Michael left Washington to play football at Pomona College. There he studied economics, classics, and medieval history while serving as a three-year captain and earning All-League honors on the offensive line. He helped lead Pomona-Pitzer to its first league championship since 1955 before going on to earn his M.B.A. from the Drucker School of Management.
Michael now resides in the City of Angels, where he is an avid home chef and is working toward his purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
